Trinity Tri-Blitz will test you: a triathlon consisting of a 400m swim, a 5.4km bike & a 1.2km run. Done 3 times.

How does it work?

Each heat is 60 minutes apart, with a heat cut-off time of 40 minutes and a mandatory rest period of at least 20 minutes between heats. The quicker you finish a heat, the more time you have to rest and recover before the next heat. Didn’t complete a heat in the allotted time? You may race in the next heat, but no points will be awarded for the incomplete heat.

Please note that 2 transition areas will be used. Before the start of the next heat, athletes will be escorted back to the 2nd transition area to collect their bikes. Athletes will then be escorted back to the 1st transition area to drop off their bikes for the next heat. Finally, athletes will be escorted back towards the start line area before the next heat starts.

It is important to note that after finishing a heat athletes will keep moving and be escorted around the course to ensure social distancing.  

Covid-19 Protocols

  • Temperature scanning, sanitising & signing a register is compulsory and will be done upon entry to the park.
  • Only athletes will be granted access, no spectators allowed.
  • No vendors are allowed on-site.
  • Masks must be worn between heats.
  • During the rest period between heats, athletes will be moved to different areas at different times to ensure social distancing. The course has been designed in a way that no athlete will come into contact with another athlete outside of a heat.
  • After the third heat has finished each athlete must collect all their belongings and leave the venue immediately.

Points will be allocated for successfully completing each heat. If an athlete doesn’t complete a heat they may still compete in the next heat/s but no points will be awarded for the incomplete heat.

Cut-Off Times

An athlete has 40 minutes to complete a heat from the start of their race. If a heat is not completed within the 40 minutes the athlete will not earn any points for that heat. The athlete may compete in subsequent heat/s if a particular heat is not completed. There is a minimum mandatory rest period of 20 minutes between heats. There is 60 minutes between each heat. The quicker a heat is completed, the more time an athlete will have to rest before the next heat.
